First thoughts on M11
So far as i write this article mtg salvation has revealed 117/249 cards from the M11 core set. Now first of all no sets are being dropped from type 2 M10 is still legal and will be legal until "scars" comes out. So I was very surprised to see allot of M10 reprints. 1st of all the one that will baffle all those to come, is Baneslayer, or as she is more widely know "walletslayer". One can only hope that her reprinting will lower her outstandingly high price, but then again who wants her, in my opinion jwar jwar is better. Also coming back are the M10 dual lands which i think is very nice and i hope we get the other 5 within the year. So far there have been some nice new cards i.e plummet, and even this vampire who pretty much makes sure that nocturnes will NOT be back. i also noticed a joke, look at the planeswalker's cards. there is a spot missing for said planeswalker....hmm are the original 5 returning again? I am saddened through for certain cards not making the cut already, like warp world. i just now red some report that ranger of eos will be back, this is false there is no way they would reprint ranger and baneslayer, ranger has no value to the standard environment, with him gone people will finally know just how bad vengevine really is and also i would rather believe they would reprint bloodbraid elf first. I pray that wizards never prints such a ridicoulously bad card again. a 3/2 for 4 is sad and the unpredictability of cascade is not consistent enough to promote such bad cards. the set already has some broken cards and a very good drafting pool, which is much better the M10 where everyone was black and it sucked. this core set looks very widespread and vastly powerful.
